Fund Analysis Tools
This section provides an invaluable insight into funds that are outperforming the competition right now, sector by sector. Past performance is no guarantee of future returns, but the numbers can give a reasonable indicator, especially when used in conjunction with the sort of in-depth research and extensive past experience we have.
We have also produced separate performance tables on what is called a risk-adjusted basis, bearing in mind that the ideal fund is one which takes the least risk and generates the best reward. These tables are at the heart of the TopFunds Guide, so do contact us for the latest edition.
Be careful using any of these tables alone to make investment decisions; past performance is not a guarantee of future performance. A fund which has performed well in the past three months but still hasn’t made up losses incurred over a long period might look surprisingly good at first glance, and even those funds with consistently good numbers can suffer losses in a volatile market.
