There is much to be done before you actually choose funds, from understanding your attitude tor risks, to how an individual fund will fit within a larger portfolio.

In this section we have set out some simple steps that will ensure the result is a thought-through portfolio, rather than a collection of individual funds randomly chosen over many years.
